- Our students were raised in the Internet Age and expect to be able to access the information they need in a nanosecond. They view anything that doesn't meet their technology expectation as not really being about them. HS-SES engages them in a way that makes sense to their modern minds, without closing off the more traditional coaching that some students want and need.
- College Students love being able to look for summer jobs while they're still at school. Typically, employers start looking to fill these jobs in March, and by the end of April many are taken. That leaves college students who are far from home out of luck. HS-SES creates a link to the home community that helps keep friends and neighbors close.
- Parents not only appreciate the help their children are getting finding work, they also make up half of the employer base. While babysitting jobs are common, parents are also looking for one-time help with heavy work (time to clean out that attic anyone?), technology support for their computers, cameras and websites, and tutors for their younger children (often the highest-paying jobs).
- Employers, while not as tech-savvy as students, are even more linked-in to e-mail than kids are. Time is important, and HS-SES allows them to find local legal entry-level workers while doing something good for the community.
- Jobs which are higher-paying and more interesting tend to be with more sophisticated firms. They expect professionalism if they're going to spend time working with students, and HS-SES delivers the tools to meet that expectation.
- Volunteers and Staff hate that feeling that something's falling between the cracks. With HS-SES there are plenty of follow-up mechanisms to help ensure both Employers and Students are being looked after. The systems automation leaves more time for coaching students and looking for new job opportunities, and less leafing through scribbled notes and mis-filed papers.
- Schools know that work experience can be an important part of a teen's development. What many don't realize is the impact a vibrant Student Employment program may have on issues such as accredidation.
